A team name is more than just a label; it’s the heart of your team’s identity. For many beer leaguers, that name will stick with you for 10, 20—even 30 or more—years so it’s crucial to get it right! This list of 100 most awesome hockey team names will no doubt set you on the right path.
When choosing a name for your team, there are many factors to consider:
- Can your supplier create a great logo to match the name?
- Can you reach a team consensus on the name?
- Will the league commissioner approve it?
- Does it align with what a hockey name “should” be?
- Is it unique enough to truly represent who you are?
At JerseysMadeEasy we have been in the custom jersey business since 2014, and we’ve seen a LOT of team names. So many, in fact, that we compiled a comprehensive list of over 600+ hockey team names on our blog.
But let’s face it—600+ names can be overwhelming. That’s why we decided to narrow it down to just 100 MOST AWESOME team names (including a bunch of new names we didn’t include in our original list). Are they the best? We’ll leave that up to you to decide.
We aimed to strike a balance between unique names that stand out and traditional ones that everyone can rally behind. We’ve even included some photos of jerseys we’ve printed for teams with these names. Once you’ve chosen your team name, don’t forget to visit our hockey jersey customizer to design your team’s next set of jerseys.
Here’s the list of 100 most awesome hockey team names, which is categorized to help you decide on your own team name:
